I decided to add a simple hummus tutorial to round out my week of middle eastern food posts. Hummus is delicious on a pita, but its also lovely as a dip! Try dipping baby carrots in it. Go on. I’ll wait. SEE? Wasn’t that amazing?! Veggies, crackers, chips… They all taste yummy with hummus.
- 1 can of chickpeas (garbanzo beans), drained, with half of the liquid reserved
- 3 tbsp tahini (can usually be found in the exotic foods section of your grocery store)
- 4 tbsp lemon juice
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- cumin for sprinkling
